Biggest Unanswered Questions In Aquaman

There seems to be a lot of unanswered questions with Aquaman. Yes, the movie was a lot of fun, but when you start thinking about it there were a few spots that didn’t make sense. Remember when Justice League used the tag “Unite the Seven” on posters, and then there were only six superheroes in the movie (Batman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Superman)? Well, the DCEU pivoted and said that the slogan referred to Aquaman. Okay… sure, but why, then were there only six kingdoms shown in the film? Atlantis, Xebel, The Trench, The Desert, the Fisherman, and the Brine Kingdom are the six mentioned, but where’s lucky number seven? Are the surface dwellers occupying the seventh kingdom?

Black Manta seemed like a character with a clear motivation and a desire to accomplish his goals, but when you think about it, he’s a pirate because… his father was? He came off like a pretty smart guy capable of creating some incredible technology on his own – before he even got his hands on that Atlantean tech, and he’s wasting it on plundering the seas? Okay. The other point that seemed – well, odd – was Aquaman’s power. He was bulletproof, and pretty much bomb proof, and could talk to fish. Mera could control water. What about those standard, everyday Atlanians? Did they get powers too? We know that only the royals could breathe in certains spot – like air pockets – but did the common folk also get shorted on other abilities? There’s still lingering questions concerning Aquaman.
